Reviews & Ratings for PoolPOD 900Mhz Wireless Floating Waterproof Speaker This product turned out to be more of a hassle than it was worth - better to just put some speakers poolside. Here are the major flaws:
- speaker points straight up, and so the sound attenuates dramatically as you get farther away at water level. Even 15 feet away it's not loud enough. - in hot weather, splashing water onto the speaker seems to cause a vacuum behind the speaker, making it barely audible. You can fix it by opening the sealed battery compartment for a moment, but you may have to do this repeatedly. - the removable plastic speaker grill does not float. Lost mine at the bottom of a deep lake within 10 minutes of first use. - the unit needs a loop of some sort so you can hook it it a rope to drag it around, or connect it with your floating device. Otherwise, you need to constantly mind it or carry it.
