I bought this as a backup computer for when my current Toshiba wears out. A backup in terms of having a computer with XP Pro rather than having to "downgrade" a Vista computer to a good, stable OS. The only drawback is that the recovery software will allow Vista to become the OS, so I bought a new copy of Norton Ghost to image the drive right out of the box so it can be recovered to a usable state rather than a worthless Vista installation.

Toshiba makes a very nice laptop and it has lived up to my expectations. I bought this with the XP Pro loaded instead of Vista (Not even Microsoft loves Vista)... unfortunately, the laptop only came with Vista reinstall disks... and when I asked customer service, they said only Vista was spec'd in and supported.... in other words... go pound sand... too bad!
