If you look from slightly above a line perpendicular to the screen, the image appears washed out. From slightly below it is dark. So if you are close to the screen, the top of the display is much darker than the bottom. I'm keeping it because the price is good and it accepts inputs from my computer, HD satellite tv box and game console. It always takes some time to adjust to a new computer monitor, so hopefully I'll get used to this one. If sound quality is an issue, don't plan on using the built in speakers.

This monitor does it all from all the different inputs to the great 5 ms response time to the built in digital tuner. Ive got my computer hooked up to it, Ive tried my girlfriend's Xbox 360 and it worked very nicely. I couldnt be happier with this purchase. Only con was that it came with one screwed up pixel but that is bound to be a shipping issue and nothing to do with the monitor itself and that the stand was not adjustable.

Im really very satisfied with the picture quality of this tv. I decided to buy a 24" because I have limited viewing area. I dont know any other brand names out there who makes 24" lcd in 1080p. Unfortunately, I have no cable so I cant say anything about cable programming. And I have it always hook up to my sorround sound so I cant tell you its audio quality too. But for a video quality, its awesome. But then again, I have never owned a lcd before too. So I dont know where to compare.

This is my first HD and it works perfectly. It is very easy to change from 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ration and colors are vibrant and true. As a monitor, it lacks USB ports and lacks analog audio out. The headphone jack is underneath a cover on the side instead of open on the back. The color adjust software displays underneath the monitor menu adjustments, so it is not very useful. And the speakers are tinny. but you can connect to external ones if you have them. Having said all that, I think this is a great value... screen size, picture quality, QAM tuner and easy set up on Windows XP. I definitely recommend it. WFDnWV

The so called recertified unit from the other company had problems out of the box and didn't come with everything it should. Long story short they agreed to take it back, but not as an exchange. So rather than buy another from them, I went online and found PC Connection with the same model, but a new unit, with three year warranty and free shipping. Total cost was less than the refurbed unit withpurchased two year warranty and shipping cost from the other company.

I've been unable to find even 1 bad pixel after a month of extensive use. I am beyond happy with this monitor, it is everything I was hoping for.
The built in speakers are NOT BAD... I guess the people who complained about it are comparing it to their THX-certified JBL audio system or something. I am watching Tonight Show with Jay Leno on this thing every day, and the sound is more than acceptable. It's about as good as most regular TVs' built-in sound. (I am watching with the unit sitting on my desk and me quite close to it... if you are watching from across the room then you might require more bass)
The shiny bezel around the screen is... really shiny. It reflects light from the LCD screen at the edges. So if you have something bright displaying at the edge of the screen, the bezel will reflect some of it, giving the impression that the monitor is leaking light to the sides. It was a bit distracting at first since I've never encountered it before, but after a few days I don't even notice it.
Back to TV: HDTV at 1080i is mind-blowingly awesome. I have never owned a HDTV so I never realized just how much picture detail gets shoved into 1080 vertical pixels. You can see every wrinkle on news anchor's face.
I attached a Rosewill mini USB-powered indoor antenna. I am only able to get NBC and FOX and a few local channels in 1080i unfortunately. But the quality of the channels that I DO get are perfect, way better than cable HDTV (because the cable companies compress the bejeesus out of the signals... over-the-air HDTV gives u maximum quality)
