Reviews & Ratings for 24" LCD Monitor This monitor arrived several days ago, and I have to say, you just can’t beat it for the price. It is large, and the resolution is high enough where I can lay out three word docs side by side in a portrait layout and see the entire page width (text within margins) of all three docs clearly. This is really handy for my graduate studies as it makes it much easier to organize through cutting and pasting of text from research articles into outlines without having to constantly minimize and maximize docs all the time, which is a great time-saver for me. This is not at TV set, as there is no tuner, although it has three different types of hook-ups (see specs). Built-in speakers, while not superb sound, serve very utilitarian purposes for those doing traditional office work, etc. Also, the base seems just a little week, so you’ll want to handle it gently, don’t force when first setting this up. If you’re a big gamer, don’t expect much from the speakers. They’re not great, but they do the job for utilitarian tasks. Bottom line, you may get a slightly more sophisticated, richer picture from more expensive name brand monitors of this size, but for the price, you just can’t beat this one. Also, as I said, I’ve only had this for 3 or 4 days, therefore, the long-term durability has yet to be seen. Nonetheless, I’m very pleased, and strongly recommend. Yours, Phil
