Just for travel to check email and keep us busy in airports waiting for the next flight. All the trial software is a little annoying, I don't like trials I would rather have the complete software or not have it at all. The first computer we received didn't work correctly, PC Connection replaced it immediately no questions asked. The replacement is working great!

I don't usually buy this brand for my clients but he insisted on an HP. I thought the overall looks and performance were pretty satisfactory. I have seen better for the same amount of money. The unit comes with a 90 day trial of MS Office and allot of HP software that I had to uninstall before I gave it to the client. I also do not like that HP forces Norton Anti-Virus on you when you purchase their products. I uninstalled that also so I could put on my anti-virus of choice. HP has this nack of installing useless programs that run in the background eating up processor resources.

It was recommended by a neighbor who knows alot more about computers than I do. I love the fact that it had Windows XP. The key board is easy to use. All I needed was a Wireless Router, just easy to hook up yourself. I did add a wireless mouse, which I perfer. The PRICE was very reasonable. The screen is large and easy to see.

No frills, but does the job quickly and extremely inexpensively. The screen is strange in that it doesn't tilt back more than about 135 degrees. I'm used to screens that tilt all the way back so I can see them standing up. Not a big deal. Also, no volume control dial (just keystroke combinations) and I wish the power and connections were in the back instead of the side. All minor stuff. Excellent system for the money.

If you want a laptop to go online, do email, photo retouching, do everyday tasks....buy this!!! Good quality and good performance. Very large screen. Cons: battery life is maybe 3 hours, maybe less. No latch when computer is closed. The case is boring...no chrome or silly decorations like the ones at Best Buy. The HD is only 160 gig, if that's important to you.
If you need a laptop for everyday use, then BUY THIS ONE!

I loved how easy it was to setup; especially because it initally loaded Windows XP and gave me the option for Vista. It came with the software preloaded and also included all the software on CDs as well, which was a nice plus. The install was clean and didn't have all the junk I've seen on some preloaded installs. Overall, a great laptop that my wife has been enjoying for several weeks now.
