Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive Purchased this for my son for Christmas. He is very happy! Shipment was prompt and all is well, with the exception that sometimes (not very often) the screen freezes and breaks up in horizontal lines. Took to Genius Bar and they have suggested a fix. Hopefully, that will solve the problem. We'll see. Other than this we are 100% satisfied.

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive I say easy, easy, easy because switching to MAC was easy to order, easy to set up and easy to use. I still have a learning curve, but it has to do with keystrokes and not the operating system. The price was good and the $150 rebate made it better.

1st Time MacBook Pro Purchase

Pros: macconnection is an awesome co. to purchase from.
Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive I am thrilled with my recent purchase. I have never used a Mac computer before and I am finding it very easy to acclamate to the new format, even though I use a standard PC at work. Set up was easy. The only issue I had was setting up my email. I called customer service and they worked through setting up the email and stayed with me on the call until it was working completely correctly. I purchased "Apple Care" and I strongly recommend this, especially for 1st time users. There is a lot of security in knowing that you can call someone with any questions that you have. I would strongly recommend this product.

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive New to Mac, but mac has so many tutorials on line giving info on how to get started, the transfer to mac has been great. New mac book is a great looking machine and love that the battery remains cool compared to old computer.....and the back lite keyboard is great.

Pros: sturdy construction Cons: does not come in matte option
Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive I had the last iteration of the MacBook Pro (Santa Rosa chipset), but decided to upgrade to the unibody construction and pass on the year-old machine to my wife. The speed is similar, but the construction is truly beautiful and the machine has a sturdiness and rigidity that the other didn't. The multitouch trackpad is also useful.
I like the chiclet keyboard, though it does remind me of my old IBM PCjr a little bit.
The glossy screen is very bright, but glare is occasionally an issue (my older machine had a matte screen).

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive This purchase is actually two firsts: my first Mac and my first laptop. I couldn't be happier with my choice. I will be using this MBPro for my online retail business and I am quite pleased with its performance. I have no intention of installing Windows on this machine, thankyouverymuch. Now if only Quickbooks for Mac didn't have such bad reviews...
Also, my only quibble is the battery life. Even with Bluetooth and wifi disabled, the battery drains much faster than I'd expected. Even my husbands junky cheapo dell laptop has a longer battery life.

Pros: beautiful glossy display, unibody is so solid, trackpad is perfect, entire re-design is perfect, battery life is good Cons: glossy display (honestly it's rarely an issue), no firewire 400 but not a huge deal

Pros: beautiful design, amazing display, multi-touch trackpad, lighted keyboard Cons: no firewire 400, battery life could be better
Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive I've been holding off for a while replacing my aging TiBook and this aluminum uni-body MacBook Pro seems to be worth the wait. It's super quick and reasonably light. The display is truly spectacular. The stock hard drive is a decent size as well as the installed 2GB ram. Battery life is acceptable and unlike my old TiBook, the "battery charge remaining" indicator in the toolbar is actually accurate(!). The multi-touch track pad is great... and integrated click pad is seamless (no pun intended). No Firewire 400 port, not so great-- Apple could have included a cheap 400 to 800 converter as a nice gesture... However, it's really a great product and am glad I bit the bullet. Mac Connection has great service and no sales tax to California is a real boon! Thanks!

Pros: led lit display!, design/processor/ddr3 memory, graphics card(s), new touchpad is sweet! Cons: wish apple built it with 16x9 display and hdmi 1.3, nice to have - card reader sd/memstick, for this price - please add 2gb more memory!
Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive Finally, after some struggle I overcome high price shocker, and got one from PcConnection... (If you start customizing fine laptops say from Sony, they also will run in $1500-$1800). But this is most excellent design of laptop, and for me is future proof. I almost got a new Sony 16" FW series, but now I'm glad that I did not. Comparing to MB Pro Sony now looks outdated and plastiky. Screen with LED backlit is great and graphics/video looks excellent. I do not care about FireWire (I use USB's) and also do not care about not having card reader. Sure, it is nice to have, but my multifunctional printer/scanner/copier has it build in, so there is no issue. For travel needs i can get USB card reader for $10 or so... What is REALLY would be nice to have is - 16x9 display size and HDMI 1.3 out jack. World is moving that direction, so soon will see more and more laptops with these features. I'm resizing all my pics from digital camera to this ratio (1920x1080) to fit any widescreen display from edge to edge. MAC OS is very easy to use, and I'm planning to install XP Pro - to have both worlds and enjoy my USB HDTV tuner, which works only with Windows... Already got an adaptor for MiniDisplay port MiniDisp/DVI and connected to DVI/HDMI cable - works fine with HDTV and external comp LCD. Planning to get nice inexpensive Home Theater projector (like Optoma HD-65) and have nice Gentleman's Suite for work and entertainment... More I use this laptop - more I like it! Very refined device! Compared to this 15" MBP all other laptops suddenly started looking like squieaky toys made of plastic :) Look for rebates and best deals and just get it - you will be very happy. PS: 13" smaller brother of this laptop gets bad rap for lesser display quality with narrower viewing angle, and missing FireWire400 port. But comparing to other laptops on market it is not that bad at all, actually it is much more better deal comparing to them!

Pros: fast reliable sleek
Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive I love this laptop. I had the 12" before and although it was a great portable size, the screen was a bit dim. This laptop has a bright screen and wonderfully responsive keyboard and touch pad. I've had no problems with it running Photoshop, Word, Quark, Entourage, and other programs all at the same time. I do recommend purchasing AppleCare. Even though Apples are really reliable, they are computers and I have ended up needing help at some point. The customer service is excellent and located in the U.S.

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz/2GB/250GB/SuperDrive This machine has replaced my 17" 2.4GHz SR MBP and my MacBook Air (first gen). It is a solid machine, quick, and excellent screen. My use is a cross of business and pleasure. I have BootCamp and VMware Fusion running with XP SP3, Ubuntu and SUSE virtual machines. Everything works, no defects. Have upgraded the HDD to 500GB.
