The fit and finish and ease of use are improved over earlier iPods and are great. But the sound quality of the 6G is not as good as the 5G iPods to my ears. I listen to both classical and rock, and the sound on the new model is just not as warm or natural. This is especially noticeable with classical music. A little online research revealed that Apple switched from the Wolfson audio chip that they used in the earlier models to a different chip by Cirrus logic. I suspect this is the reason.

This one is no exception, fast, easy and a good sound, well worth the money. The only drawback is iTunes, it could be a lot more user friendly and accept more music video formats; I have a few that just won't load. Overall it's a great product.

Hard to fault Apple on this update to its first iPod line. Sure, it's not as sexy or sleek as some of the other iPod offerings, but it actually is quite thin and it holds way more than any other current iPod.
Would've been nice if they'd kept the 160GB option, but 120GB is quite a lot. Screen really isn't much larger than the Nano's.
