A comparison of the features, optical zoom, and image quality made this the best value for the money. A month into owning this camera, I've read the online manual, tried out nearly every setting (not much opportunity for snow in SoCal in the middle of July), and posted photos for sharing. Sunset photos are amazing. Digital macro are even better. Portraits have good detail. And image quality in low light settings is a pleasant surprise! Where my last camera fell short, this one excels. I've received many compliments on the pictures I've taken so far, and I happily share that I bought my Canon SD1200 IS online at PC Connection!

My only dislike is the noise the camera makes to stabilize. It can be heard if there is not alot of background noise. Pictures are clear and I leave setting on auto. Still have some things to figure out, but will when time permits.
