Color photos, not quite as good as my old dedicated HP Photo printer but very useable. Was disappointed in the Instruction manual (PDF). They use a pretty generic printer/scanner/fax instruction manual which can apply to a number of models, but it becomes somewhat confusing when the layout is not the same, and the messages on the printer are not the same as in the manual. I think they cut corners here. I will be interested to see how long the ink cartridges last as it appears they will be pretty expensive to replace.
