Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo/2.66GHz/4GB/320GB/SuperDrive What can I say??? I bought my first home computer back in 1990. It was a Mac Classic then bought a Mac Classic II soon after. I entered into the business world at the same time and felt forced into the PC World. But I am still a PC Gamer and have a very high end rig but stayed with Windows XP instead of the dreaded Vista and could care less of Windows 7's future blunders. What does it say when a PC person still stays with a dinosaur operating system... yep!
Now here I am, Fall of 2009 and buying my 14 y/o whiz-kid daughter her first Macbook Pro MC026LL/A. She has been using PC's since she was 3 y/o and had an older PC laptop that surely was great for all these years but it was a 2005 model and is not high performance enough for her needs now. She is enrolled in every advanced class possibly and has a GPA of 4.2 out of 4. Well, I was considering getting her another PC laptop with all the bells and whistles that probably would have been priced around $1,100 to $1,300 but she loved the MBP's everytime she visited the Apple Store nearby. I knew I didn't want to finance a MBP, cash only... so I shopped around for 2 months.
The MC026LL/A model had the high end Core 2 Duo 2.66 with 6MB L2 cache and I wanted the 4gb of DDR3 ram and wanted a 512MB VRam on the 9600GT. The only thing that separated this model from the higher costing newer mid2009 models was the SD card replacing the express card, a non-removable battery 7hr battery, slightly faster 2.8Ghz and a 500GB drive versus 320GB. Current price of the 2.8, $2300.
The MC026LL/A price... $1699.00 on Mac Connection ONLY!!! It was a no-brainer plus my budget was about $1,800 so it fit the bill! Mac Connection has the best price online and the order process and delivery was speedy! Daughter is happy... I'm happy! Thanks Mac Connection!!!

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo/2.66GHz/4GB/320GB/SuperDrive For my whole life i used Windows laptops and desktops. i decided i should switch over and try a Mac, probably the best decision i made. the performance is out of this world, i mean it takes 20 secs to fully boot, and 5 secs to shut down, every thing is laid down easy to use, and the track pad is the greatest thing ever made, the glossy screen shows colors with such clarity, and the battery life is very good, much longer than any computer with this type of hardware

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo/2.66GHz/4GB/320GB/SuperDrive As always, Mac produces the best and my recent purchase of a MB Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo/2.66GHz/4GB/320GB/SuperDrive was researched for weeks prior to taking delivery. No problems so far with less than 90 days of ownership. Will never own any other laptop than Mac.

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo/2.66GHz/4GB/320GB/SuperDrive I've had 4 mac books over the last 6 years including 2 MBPs. This 15" unibody 2.66 GHz model is the best - simply a slick machine. It performs as advertised; plus it exudes quality.

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo/2.66GHz/4GB/320GB/SuperDrive What can I say? A great machine, bought from a company that I've used almost since the first Mac was introduced. I replaced my always reliable PowerBook G4 FW800 with this MacBook. Can think of only one thing to improve: Bluetooth connectivity with third party mice. I prefer a mouse instead of a trackpad and the connection with a new MS Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 is unreliable. I'm going to try Logitech. Probably not an Apple problem, so go for the machine!

Reviews & Ratings for MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo/2.66GHz/4GB/320GB/SuperDrive I love the look an feel of my new MacBook Pro, it feels sturdy and looks sleek and professional. Nice not to have to deal with pushing a button to open the computer. There are however some issues, my Logitech Bluetooth mouse sometimes just stops responding and I have to switch bluetooth off and on to get it to work again. Also, for some reason it will not connect with my girlfriends WiFi network. It is a Linksys router and I have tried every possible setting to get it to work and even called support with no luck. So now I have to connect via ethernet whenever I am at her house.
