Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 We bought two 24" imacs the screen quality is excellent. The speed is great. the peripherals all work and we are networked. I am a little worried about expandability. They sure cleaned up our physical desk tops, we gained 8 square feet of space switching from 19" CRT's.
Should have switched to Mac long ago...

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 After Vista OS crashed my PC for the 4th time in three months I decided to get a Mac instead. I was stunned at how extremely easy it was to set the whole thing up. This is how plug and play should really be. It picked up the drivers for my printer and external drive quickly and without issues. The OS is extremely fun and easy to use, even after using Windows my whole life. At first i was a little intimidated by the large screen size as my previous one was 22" but I'm getting used to the size and am loving the crisp colors. As a web designer, I'm noticing colors on favorite websites that I never noticed before because they were so washed out on my last monitor. I can't find anything wrong with my new Mac computer, the only con I have is not having switch long ago.
Oh, and it's extremely quiet and boots up very fast (slow boot time a problem I couldn't get used to when using Windows).
Love that iMac!

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 This is a dream machine if there ever was one, but when I transferred files from my old iMac to this one, I'm afraid it transferred some problems with it. I called for free Mac support, the phone was answered by a real human being after one ring, and the lady on the end knew just what to do to solve my problems, immediately e-mailing me written instructions on how to archive and install the system. That worked. This was the quickest, best customer service I've ever experienced, and it came right from Apple in one phone call.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 I have used PCs for many years and finally got fed up with giving up so much processing time and memory to virus protection. An online MMORG game (CoH) I play a lot released a Mac version and Apple finally has come out with products with the power I am used to with PCs, so I decided to try it.
I like the iMac because of it's small footprint. It also is quieter that PC desktops. I don't hear any noise at all.
I am very pleased with the hardware and OS as well as the applications that came loaded on the machine.
The only drawbacks I've come across are minor and some are due to my unfamiliarity with Macs.
My biggest complaint has to do with the mouse and the right mouse click behavior. I didn't think about it when I ordered the iMac, but some Mac mice don't even come with the ability to do right mouse clicks. Fortunately my machine came with a might mouse and right clicks are supported, but the default behavior was not what I expected. I found the work around on my game forum. You have to set up the mouse to treat the right mouse clicks as a secondary rather than primary. After that it worked just the way I am used to.
I couldn't find the information about the keyboard layout , which is somewhat different that the PC, but I haven't done an exhaustive search. Overall I would say that kind of documentation seems to be lacking.
My game works great on the iMac. The graphics are incredible and I really like the glossy monitor screen. Something I didn't even know existed. The odd way "packages" are used on the iMac takes some getting used to and I haven't been able to take screen shots or resize my window like I can on the PC, but some of that might just take more research.
Other than those minor issues I'm very happy with my Mac and am looking forward to exploring the machine and getting to know it better.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 Bought this converting from Windows. It's been a dozen years since I had a Mac and I forgot how simple everything is. Plug it in and it works. No hassle. Beautiful. Keyboard and mouse are cute but useless, but I already had a wireless USB Logitech... plugged it in and works perfect.
Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 I was a long time Mac user who switched to a PC for the last several years. The new I-Mac is great. Easy to get started, great monitor, easy to use, fast - but Apple tends to write programs to control you and your files. With I-Photo, I can't access my original files; back up files on an external hard drive, I can't access the hard drive. I am sure there are workarounds with these issues but it should be easier.....

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 I've been using Apple computers since 1978. I currently have 3 different Mac models due to travel and multiple offices. Apple has had some serious hiccups along the way, but since Jobs has been back, products have continuously gotten better.
Since Apple switched to Intel, Windows has fallen so far behind they think they're in first place.
Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 As with all Mac products that I have worked with it works as advertised, it works and performs as it should. The set up was easy a there was no need for tech assistance. The computer is fast and the 24 inch screen is bright and good color. Great for photo and video editing, which is my greatest use. Meets all of my expectations.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/1TB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 This Mac can do it and looks great too. I use the Mac for photos and video and the display and performance are incredible. The computer is very powerful and I highly recommend this computer to anyone as it can run Windows if the user chooses. Mac OS is so great that I do not plan on using Windows myself.
