Reviews & Ratings for iPod Touch 8GB (Sept 08) 2nd Generation I purchased the iPod Touch for my husband. He is on the road all day servicing chimneys. He uses it for music in his truck while driving. Then at the customer's house he can check his schedule because the Touch syncs perfectly with iCal on the office computer (an older MacBook). He also has access to the entire customer database through Contacts, which syncs with the app Address Book. Chimney work is a dirty business, and so far the Touch has held up remarkably well. The screen works even with dirty fingers! Another useful feature is showing photos to the customer of previous work we've done, caps, etc. My husband is not a gadget guy but he finds the Touch easy to use and a great business tool.

However at the end of this semester my dad decided to gift me with this, and I absolutely love it. It's essentially a laptop that you can stick in your pocket. The ability to play music, watch videos, check out the internet, check your email, and download music and apps makes this a perfect tech item to have. The touch screen and typing do take some time to get used to but not long. Once you do it becomes natural and even a person with the stubbiest fattest fingers like me can type emails in a fly, surf the web and scroll to his or her favorite song all within a few scrolls and clicks. The one single home button and somewhat concealed volume and lock button make it look very elegant (as is with most apple products). Definitely would recommend as a gift to a friend or for yourself :)
