Pros: fast (instant) rerouting, easy to use, very good bang for your buck, came with a nice carrying case Cons: small screen
Reviews & Ratings for 3.5" GPS US + Canada Maps From the manufacturer that usually stays underneath your car comes a portable navigation system. Not exactly what you would expect, especially after other car/tire manufacturers (Michelin, Jeep) have tried to get into this market and failed miserably.
However after using the Goodyear GY135C for about 2 weeks now, I'm happy to report that it is the exception to the rule. The small but powerful unit receives a signal quickly, is very easy to figure out (I glanced through the instruction manual but knew everything about the GPS just from playing around with it), and does exactly what you expect a good GPS to do. My biggest interest was the instant rerouting feature - and it works. When you miss a turn, there's no re-routing delay. It's a nice change from my old unit that actually forced me to the side of the road while the progress bar made its way across the screen. Otherwise the unit performs well and I'm looking forward to seeing the new higher end systems from Goodyear.
