Photos, music, podcasts, video AND email and internet? Will even load up my pandora radio, or internet radio. The 16 GB seems to be a good size for this device. Going from a 4 GB nano to this was great.
Like all these pretty shiny things, you need to protect it from scratchy things for it to stay gorgeous, but I have been amazed how well the screen works, even with finger prints.
So, the product does what it promises, amazingly so. Downside is the absence of continuous wireless connection, but that is no different from carrying my laptop. This is much much easier.
Oh, and did I mention Fun?

My kids have other brand, smaller mp3 players that don't hold more than a couple hundred songs and I really thought I didn't need one. Now that I have my iPod touch, I can't live without it. I play games on it, listen to music, listen in my car with my iAuto charger, I stay connected with my email on it, I check the weather on TWC, and keep my calendar updated all with the ease of a touch of my finger. I have movies on it for the kids to watch, and it's much easier and quicker to check email and weather and many other things than booting up my computer and waiting for my webpages to load. I LOVE IT and recommend it to everyone of all ages. It's the perfect gift for anyone!
The only things I wish it had were a)louder built in speakers when not in use with a dock or earphones and b)a microphone that would make all iPhone apps available for use with it, like Shazam.

The screen size is much larger than the palm. I have been able to find lots of free apps that keep me occupied when I am sitting around, and the ease of use is incredible. I have all my music and all my photos on the iTouch and I don't think I will ever run out of space. I am totally pleased.

This iPod Touch was everything I wanted and then some.
I am using it more as a PDA than a music and video player and it is far exceeding my expectations. I use it for music, video, photos, and podcasts more than I thought I would, but for my needs as an organizer and daily planner it is perfect. (this also has a lot to do with the apps that are available). My home is now clutter free of lists and notes everywhere, and my Touch is my constant companion. To top it off, the UI is simple and easy.
It's fun to have some of the extras that are available like games, photo editing and computer programs and internet sites adapted specifically for the Touch.
The only drawback so far is that many of the apps use a lot of battery, so I find myself tethered to my PC on occasion, but it is more an annoyance than a problem.
I just love it!!
