Reviews & Ratings for DCR-DVD850 DVD Handycam Camcorder I shopped around for a few weeks before purchasing the DVD850 and I am very pleased that I purchased this unit. I love the fact that you can record to the hard drive or to a disc or even a memory stick. The hard drive is large enough that you can store 200-460 min of video (depending on the video quality selection) before having to use a disc or a stick. There is an incredible amount of functionality yet, for those who want to simplify, there is an "easy" button which allows you to just point and shoot. If I wanted to be critical, the only thing I would change is the battery life, which lasts about 45 minutes. I just purchased the NP-FH100 battery which should give me 355 minutes of recording time. In summary, I love this handycam and would recommend it.
