Five days of calling for a replacement and a series of bad addresses no return calls etc.. Despite written contact with their vp and general manager I am still waiting for the TV to top it off I had to pay the shiiping cost which was more expensive that what they paid to ship the dective tv... burned once bu VS but not again

The tracking of the delivery was excellent. The HDTV picture is very good but the sound leaves much to be desired. I connected powered external speakers but had to giggle the connection to make them work and this I had to do every time I turned the TV on. So far ViewSonic hasn't been much help.

The sound is a little tinny, but stereo speakers fixed that, and the picture is great. She can sit and do her computer work and watch television, and be happy, and that therefore makes me happy. She loves the choices of screen sizes just like our big TV and once she figured out the remote menus, she was very very pleased. I would recommend this TV for gaming also, as the son has tried to take it 3 times........lol.

It is a bit complicated to move through the initial set up and then the changeover processes (from TV to PC to DVD watching). But for the money (on sale), a good deal.

For my requirements, it's good enough. There aren't many HD widescreens in this size available right now. I don't think anybody is going to purchase a 16" widescreen to get the full HD experience anyway. Good, but not great... it just meets my requirements.

Nifty little formfactor, very easy setup, detected over 400 analog+HD channels on Autoscan. Aspect ratio of picture auto adjusts when changing channels and/or inputs. Good picture in harsh sunlight. Very light-weight and easily mounted on articulating arm. Sound level and quality for a hovering teen: more than adequate. Nice variety of inputs for gadgets, e.g. DVD players, PCs, portables, camera A/V. Human factor: all young people (7-18 yrs) who saw it raved over how "cute"it was and wanted one for themselves. Very satisfied with purchase.

Reviews & Ratings for 15.6" N1630W Widescreen LCD TV, Black You get what you pay for. A 15" LCD TV for $179. Cheap, but so is the product. Very poor contrast and VERY LIMITED viewing angles. OK at eye level and straight on, but picture almost "dis-appears" when moving slightly off-axis, under or to either side. Also the sound is very tinny and echo-like. It's just OK for the kitchen, but I may upgrade to a Samsung 19" when prices come down.
