Pros: hardware print engine, great cost per page, parallel port, fast printing, small footprint
Cons: graphic lines on dark print, inadequate documentation for network interface

Reviews & Ratings for B2400n Digital Monochrome Printer
Very solid printer for the price, Especially since it supports Hardware printing and a true parallel port unlike most printers in it's price range. Also, Toner is easy to change and very cheap. It's one of the best cost's per page out there for a printer of this size and price.

Drivers are very small and simple. Entire package, including driver, print status monitor and setup utils is just under 3MB. Try getting a driver that small from any other printer manufacture.

Network setup is pain free and straightforward with the utils available on disk. I also like how the utility can be run on the disk without having to install it, since once the printer is setup you'll probably not want to mess with it again. It also has a web interface, but the documentation on the site is poor, and doesn't explain what the default admin password is. (Username is root and Password is the last 6 case sensitive MAC address Digits for anyone looking for this info) Once inside the web panel, it's self explanatory.

Printing quality, however, isn't the cleanest. It's absolutely perfect with text, but has noticeable lines with graphics, especially dark graphics. It's still a good solid image but there is better images out there.

Overall, if you want a printer to print out your word documents and spreadsheets with a few graphics on the side and are sick and tired of paying tons of money on ink and toner, or if you're a business looking to replace your old impact form printing with a laser, but don't print a ton a day, then put this printer on your short list.
