Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/8GB SSD/8GB Flash/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/XPH/Black I bought this for myself on a lark. Completely satisfied. So much so, that I have cleaned out my 2 full sized laptops, and put them on eBay... I have made this my primary computer. It is FAST! To people that are unsure about the 8Gig Flash + 8Gig SD card, I say it is plenty, and I don't load unnecessary stuff on it, because I bought a 320 Gig portable hard drive. So far, I have had 3 friends buy one because they liked mine so much. One for college, one for his job, & one for her eBay business. Have had this little Gem for almost 2 months now, with only 2 Cons. One hardware, and one software related. 1. Battery - I get about 3 hours of life, but expected this. Plan on buying another battery soon. 2. There is not a control panel for the webcam. It is like jumping through hoops to make sure that it is not turned on. Overall, a Fantastic little computer. I highly recommend it!

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/8GB SSD/8GB Flash/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/XPH/Black fairly slow read write on the SSD - however it's upgradeable with a little skill - small, light and it works! Battery life is less than expected usually a few hours is all I get. Bought with low expections. would recomend to others.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/8GB SSD/8GB Flash/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/XPH/Black As a graphic designer and intensive computer user, when I first saw a netbook, I wondered why anyone would want something that's just an internet device -- what can you do with it but check your email and surf the web? Well, my kids are the users of the future; they research homework online, stream videos, write papers with web-based software, store documents online, instant message, listen to internet radio, and on and on. They don't require a dvd drive or a big hard drive for storage...just stripped down internet speed and access.etc. This little gem doesn't have a dvd drive nor much disk space to speak of; it doesn't have MS Office or even a particularly fast processor. But without some of the bells and whistles that eat up resources on larger laptops, the proceesor moves plenty fast.
The keyboard is smaller than standard -- but not noticeably so; it's great for kids' smaller hands but doesn't feel cramped or silly to my grown-up hands. The screen quality is gorgeous, lush, rich and crisp. So what if it's only 9 inches? Even my middle-aged eyes can make out every detail. Battery life is fair. I'd like it to be longer but it's enough to watch a movie download through to the end. The speakers are...well, laptop speakers. They do a serviceable job and lets face it, you're probably not looking for this kind of device to experience the best of your mp3 collection.
It features a built-in webcam that is, again, serviceable but evidences a slight (and occasionally disconcerting) delay and a little jumping. Prety good image quality, though.
All else aside, the Aspire One is roughly the size and weight of a large trade paperback. It slips easily into the kids' school bags. And, serious confession here: since, yes, I ended up buying one for myself as well, I still get a thrill to be able to tuck it into a small shoulder bag or even just under my arm, and go. In spite of the diminutive size, nothing about the Aspire One feels cheap; The feel of it in your hand, opening up and using the keyboard is across the board solid and substantial. One othernote: my kids have reached the age when access to their own computers is more or less expected by their school. I gulped hard at the prospect of shelling out what it would take to equip them with laptops and frankly, I'd been hoping to purchase one for myself. I bought one Acer Aspire One -- refurbished, no less -- to test drive it myself. I was won over and outfitted each member of the family with a refurbished device...all for the cost of a single good quality new laptop. This little device is sweet.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/8GB SSD/8GB Flash/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/XPH/Black Lots of nice features and definitely light and easy to carry. Runs a little slower than the bigger Acer, but great for the wireless internet. An external DVD/CD drive is required. Might consider adding a wireless mouse.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/8GB SSD/8GB Flash/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/XPH/Black Well I purchased one for my son who just turned 13 and was extremly happy with the product. PC Connection was accurate in the shipping timeframe. The price was outstanding, I checked everywhere and they were by far the cheapest. My 3 other boys wanted it also, so I purchasted 3 more and gave them as birthday gifts. If you are looking for a netbook for access to the internet you cant beat it. I have a Dell netbook and paid double for the same features.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/8GB SSD/8GB Flash/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/XPH/Black This was my second attempt at a netbook purchase. The first was the Sylvania G but I sent that back due to the tiny touchpad. The Acer is much better in this respect and has a bigger screen. This is a keeper.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/8GB SSD/8GB Flash/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/XPH/Black I have both the Lenova S10 and this Acer Aspire One a110. The Acer is Slow to boot, slow to react, sometimes taking 30 secs before responding sometimes not even bothering to respond so we have to re start. The is a weird loud beep when some keys are pressed. Overall very disappointing and I should have returned it! The Lenova S10 is much faster and much more like a real laptop not the slow piece of crud the Acer is!
