I am almost always connected to the internet. It has many games and other apps. I have had a couple of issues when it stopped working, but I left it alone for 24 hours, plugged it in and it seems fine. The only other problem is I wish I had more space, I only have the 8G.

Can check my email and there are a wide array of applications available for most anyone to use. I find myself using my Ipod touch more than my Ipod Classic and I have the really big one 320 GB. I actually use my Ipod Touch everyday. Well worth the purchase price.

I use it every day to track appointments, contacts, to do lists, and make notes.
the apps are very easy to use and very helpful and some are really fun.
with internet conection you can update content any where you have a wifi conection.
with the built in speaker you can listen to music without ear buds, but without disturbing anyone else.
the graphics is just amazing.
very good investment and glad I purchased it.

Pros:
I check my email, stock, calendar, wheather in addition to listening to music. I need not to wait the wait for turning on a computer since iPod Touch is instant-on.
Cons:
It can be over-sensitive to unintended touch. You need to get the 32GB version if you intend to load up contents. I also wish the screen can be larger and battery life longer.

He had a 4 yr. old iPod which he never really used because he just couldn't figure out how it worked. (I'm the geek, he's not! LOL) Anyway, I have the 32GB iPod Touch and figured he'd like the 8GB version and HE DID! He even takes it to work sometimes. :::faint::: So both of us *really* like the iPod Touch and for the geeks like me, go with the 32GB version and for "regular" users, the 8GB will be just great! Make sure you get the 2nd generation though - it's got features which are much better than the 1st generation - and my husband and I MOST HIGHLY recommend all configurations of the 2nd Generation iPod Touch. It's awesome!

Would be nice if it came with a charger. Also concerned over the battery life. We need to get software to rip DVD's if you want to load your movie since it does not come with any software but requires you to download iTunes (free). Also can not get any of the GPS applications to work, believe they are only for the iPhone and since we do not care much for AT&T we will have to settle for the iTouch. Besides, why tie up such a cool toy just to make a phone call.
Overall though this is so much more than an MP3 player but not that much more expensive than a iPod Nano.

It's versatile with any program and the many uses for this device are phenomenal. I have had it for 2 weeks now and I can't put it down. The applications you can add off of itunes alone keep me busy. Video quality is amazing and you won't even remember that you're watching a movie on it's small screen. Don't take my word for it, buy one. I'm in Japan and the shipping from PCConnection was high speed. My highest recommendation!
