It features Nikon's EXPEED image processing engine to deliver outstanding images featuring fine details, smooth tones, rich colors and low noise across a wide ISO sensitivity range, and significantly accelerate camera performance on all levels. With a start up time of just 0.15 seconds and a shutter release lag time of approx. 65 milliseconds, the D90 delivers instant response, and provides continuous shooting at a rapid 4.5 frames per second. The Nikon D90 lets users take advantage of the superior optical quality and broad selection of available NIKKOR lenses, and the refined 11-area AF System (based on Nikon's advanced Multi-CAM 1000 AF Sensor Module) ensures consistently fast and precise focus lock in various shooting conditions while Nikon's exclusive 3D Color Matrix Metering II ensures accurate automatic exposure control, even in the most challenging lighting conditions. The D90 provides remarkable user operability, featuring Nikon's exclusive Scene Recognition System that advances precision in auto focus, auto exposure, and auto white balance in diverse shooting situations - so you'll get stunning images with point-and-shoot simplicity. The Live View mode allows for users to frame their images on the large 3" high resolution color LCD - providing for easy image framing, even when shooting at odd angles. There are also three contrast-detect AF modes to allow photographers to focus on any point in the frame, and enabling a greater variety of composition. In addition, the D90 has a face priority AF mode available in the Live View mode for even sharper pictures of people. * 1 Megabyte (MB) = 1,000,000 bytes; 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,000,000,000 bytes; MP = MegaPixels

Reviews & Ratings for D90 DSLR 12.3MP Camera w/ 18-105mm Lens This is a great camera that the majority of people will grow into as it is more capable than most photographers. While it does have advanced features that will take most purchasers time to learn, it also has some very easy features and function that will enable most to just pick it up and take very good photographs. I suggest David Busch's book on the d90 as well as the Blue Crane Digital's DVD on this camera. They will give you an in-depth knowledge base of the capabilities of the D90.

Reviews & Ratings for D90 DSLR 12.3MP Camera w/ 18-105mm Lens After much deliberation I finally took the plunge - and I'm really glad I did. The D90 builds on the excellent reputation of the D80 and borrows much from it's semipro sibling the D300. It is a camera that can be used by both amateurs and pros, and both will, as I am be blown away by the results - Excellent purchase - I'm pleased ; )

Pros: great camera for low light shooting, very user friendly, light weight, smart Cons: 18-105mm lens isn't the best but is good
Reviews & Ratings for D90 DSLR 12.3MP Camera w/ 18-105mm Lens I purchased the Nikon D90 with the 18-105mm lens package in December of 2008 and have been very satisfied with my purchase. I am not a professional photographer and haven't used a DSLR before purchasing the Nikon D90. I have background using SLR film cameras and find that that laid a good foundation for working with the new DSLR's. I would recommend this camera to anyone who may be intimated to jump to a DSLR, there are many auto functions available with this camera. I learn something new that I can do with the D90 that I couldn't with my old SLR's almost every time I use it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THE NOVICE, PRO-AM, OR ANYBODY WHO HAS NEVER HAD A DSLR!!!

Pros: plenty of features, affordable, advanced amateur Cons: no weather sealing
Reviews & Ratings for D90 DSLR 12.3MP Camera w/ 18-105mm Lens As I became more experienced with photography, I looked around for a camera that offers plenty of room for growth. The D90 is that camera! The D90 incorporates many of the features of its older sibling the D300. A very robust camera, perfect for someone who is just learning or an advanced photographer who requires flexibility.
The Previous model - the D80 won accolades and praise from reviewers and users alike. The D90 continues where the D80 left off. You get a camera full of features that you will unlikely outgrow anytime soon! Coupled with fabled Nikon Nikkor Lenses, you will soon create breathtaking photos!
