Build world-class websites and applications with one of the industry's leading web authoring tools. Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 software is ideal for web designers, web developers, and visual designers. Take advantage of new features such as Live View, Related Files, Code Navigator, and JavaScript code hinting. Dreamweaver CS4 extends the web designer’s palette with Adobe Photoshop Smart Objects, the CSS-savvy Properties panel, and HTML data sets. Designers and developers alike can work faster and smarter with the redesigned user interface and tighter Adobe Creative Suite software integration.
Using Live View is nearly twice as fast as previewing rendered pages in a browser. Using Live Code, you see the results of coding changes in Live View more than twice as fast as you would switching to a browser. Additionally, you can click a related file to see both its source in Code view and the parent page in Design view. Design your pages in Dreamweaver so end users can edit their web pages without help from you or additional software using the InContext Editing online service. As a Dreamweaver designer, you can limit changes to specific regions on the page.

Pros: finally a golive upgrade Cons: punitive installation
Reviews & Ratings for Dreamweaver CS4 10.0 Upgrade for Mac Adobe has finally provided their longtime GoLive customers with an upgrade path to DreamWeaver.
However, the installer asks you to locate the product being upgraded or enter a serial number. Unfortunately all it recognizes is past versions of DreamWeaver. GoLive customers need to install it in Trial mode, then call Adobe for a special code to unlock the upgrade. Finding the number to call then jumping through all the identification and serial number hoops can take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes if you get through to someone right away.
You're allowed to install on a personal laptop and need to go through the whole process again. If you have a hard drive crash, acquire a replacement computer or if Adobe support for another of their products has you wipe out the registration, you can do it all again.
The upgrade installation is punitive for those who have been Adobe GoLive customers versus those Adobe inherited with the acquisition of MacroMedia.
