It has Firewire 800 and USB connections with an adaptor cable for Firewire 400. this was not in the specs, but is fine, and I'm sure a cost cutting way to get all connections on such a small footprint. This drive is so small for how much it holds. Pretty quiet too - I've heard others complain that their older 1TB drives are loud. This one is not.
