Great Printer for CD printing

Reviews & Ratings for HP Photosmart D5460 Printer This is a good basic inkjet printer. I mainly use it for printing direct on CD/DVDs. I found it easier to load cd/dvd for printing than on my Epson R200. Your less likely to misalign the cd/dvd prior to printing. I have use it for printing basic color reports, PDFs, etc. The color output is nice. Even though the hp software alerts me that it is time to replace my ink the printer will continue to print until empty.

Reviews & Ratings for HP Photosmart D5460 Printer Purchased this mainly for the ability to print DVD's. It does that well. There's template-driven software to accomplish that, which is mediocre. That doesn't matter, I can print out of Photoshop or Illustrator. It's possible to print all the way to any edge of the disk.
Instructions were pretty lacking. It wasn't too hard to figure things out though. There's an LCD screen that you have to interact with. It tells you what you should do, and requires button pushes to acknowledge.
Print quality is fine, printing on 4x6 photo paper is easy (always loaded, it figures out which tray to grab from)
Occasionally, the printer will go into some cleaning cycle (or something) for about a minute. I can't predict when this will happen. It's slightly inconvenient.
Overall, I like it better than the Epson Artisan that it is supplementing.

Reviews & Ratings for HP Photosmart D5460 Printer The printer head was defective and I'm not sure if it was PC Connection's fault or HP's. Customer service was very helpful--they sent a new printer head and new cartridges. The machine works fine--a bit slower than the Epson I had before, however.

Cons: noisy, Paper Jams, Print Cartridge Life, color streaking, ink smudges w/o handling
Reviews & Ratings for HP Photosmart D5460 Printer Device not suited at all for printing brochures. Color streaks, paper feed cannot feed in brochure paper. Black ink streaking near edge of paper and over parts of the entire page. However, the unit prints a nice 3X5 digital single photo. I returned the product after first day of use.
