This is my second Lenovo, replacing my trusty T42. I use it as my main computer at home and bring it with me when I travel. Like my T42, it's reliable, fast and rugged. It runs Vista 64 Business flawlessly. I'm enjoying the built-in voice recognition and the Windows Picture Gallery's performance so much I won't be buying the Dragon Speak Naturally or PhotoShop Elements I'd planned on.

Like my other Lenovo, this one is a virtual tank, although not overly heavy. I'm kind of rough on my laptop but it holds up well. I've brought my laptop to Ireland, Macedonia and Santa Fe and it's great to have a place to download the many pictures, have access to e-mail, etc. If I were rich I'd buy a Lenova netbook for travel, but I'm not.

I bought a wireless headset mike for speech recognition but a friend of mine and I have been Skyping without it and the built-in works well enough for casual use. The built-in speakers really are anaemic so I use the headset to listen to music. I plan to buy a pair of Logitech speakers with the money I've saved on software.
