Reviews & Ratings for HP SmartBuy Thin Client t5135 Eden 400MHz/ 64MB Flash/128MB RAM, HP ThinConnect, TAA This product, along with thin clients in general have cut our support nearly in half. Implementing the HP T5135 along with terminal services has helped prevent spyware and malware (due to running in a better secured server environment), made helping users out easier (shadowing sessions), protected sensitive components (dusty areas a plenty in our environment) along with numerous other items.
We are using WYSE for dual screen functionality as the product is less expensive on those and the flash via DHCP works better (out-of-the-box DHCP flashing), but the HP, after one flash, has a great DHCP flash feature as well to keep all items up to date.
The thin clients have truly been wonderful, especially where we have over 100 remote sites to manage. It's nice to be able to say "Reboot the thin client and if that doesn't work, send it back" (hasn't happened yet, mind you.
