Reviews & Ratings for Hi-Speed ExpressCard CF Reader/Writer
Alas, this reader has problems with my Macbook Pro (early 2008 model, running 10.5.6). Specifically,

* If I mount a camera card, neither Apple's Image Capture nor Adobe's Camera Downloader recognize it as a camera card.

* When I remove the reader from the mac, or remove the CF card from the reader, sometimes I get a kernel panic (eg, a hard crash). Not always, but frequently enough to be disturbing.

I'd hoped this would be a compact alternative to a USB CF card reader. Unfortunately, I can't rely on it.
