I am so glad I went ahead bought the Sony Bravia 40" HDTV. The picture quality on the HD channels in incredible and the color is crisp but overly intense like I have seen on some flat panels. The sound quality is excellent too. The best thing about it is the integration to the Sony Blue Ray player. You can't go wrong buying Sony when it comes to video and TV equipment.

The Sony Bravia gives you high quality, beautiful viewing. Watching programs in HD is almost breathtaking for scenery views such as on Nat Geo channel. The only drawback for me was a little trouble using the menu and controls. For instance, I had to spend a couple of hours with my cable rep before we figured out how to get digital channels to show on the Bravia. It involves choosing the correct selection in a certain menu and there were no instructions specifically detailing that. Otherwise, this TV is a joy.

I first set eyes on Sony's 1080P 40" Bravia TV at my son's home in North Carolina. My wife and I were so impressed with the clarity and sharpness of the picture for HD broadcasts as well as non-HD broadcasts that I bought one for my wife for Christmas. We are so happy with the TV, that we've also bought another 40" Sony Bravia set for our bedroom upstairs. Every visitor to our home comments on the quality of the picture and the pureness and sharpness of the colors.
