The DMR-EA38V plays DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, CD-R, CD-RW, and SD. You can also enjoy downloadable video through DivX compatibility, as well as MP3, and JPEG formats. The added USB port and Digital Camera Link allow you to download straight into the recorder, opening up a realm of format possibilities. You also have the option of added memory with the use of an SDHC memory card. The DMR-EA38V does not come with a tuner.
