The initial installation was problematic as you don’t know if the computer is locked-up or completing the task. The “Live Update” function is a complete nightmare. It consistently malfunctioned and took a hard reset to complete. The backup/restore process is VERY slow. To backup and restore the whole computer, it took 2+ hours for each function. Little useful documentation is provided, it must be downloaded. Even then, the steps are not well documented. This product is “long in the tooth” and best suited to someone who is technical.

It will install OK, and will work, but the first time you run Live Update, it will do some combination of destroying the install, making your CD / DVD drives unusable, or crashing Windows. There are work arounds /fixes to get it to function if you are an expert, but you should not need workarounds. The tray application also throws cryptic error messages every time you connect any kind of external drive, even a blackberry. I am a long time user of earlier versions on XP, wasted my money for V14 for my new Vista 64 box.
