The HP Workforce 500 was easy to set up and so far is performing admirably, but we have only had it for about a week.

The Epson Workforce 500 all in one printer is a great bargain. It's easy to set up, easy to use and performs with a quality expected only from a higher priced machine.
Dealing with PC Connection was most satisfactory. Delivery was extremely fast.

I have had the Workforce 500 for only a few weeks, and have used the printer for text and for one picture, and the scanner.
Setting-up the printer went without issues.
The text print is of excellent quality and reasonable speed. The printer is very, very noisy, clicking and clacking loudly before beginning to print, then the noise is OK.
The photo that I printed was of excellent resolution but the colors were dull; I uploaded it to a print shop nearby and got it within the hour: the quality was excellent, as expected. I suppose that I need to "calibrate" the printer to get the desired result, and will then be happy. The scan went very well, fast, and allowed to save as PDF, very useful.
in summary, the first impressions are positive. The printer looks robust and very capable, text printing is excellent.
