The AXIS 241S Video Server digitizes analog video streams and transmits them at full frame rate over an IP network, enabling remote viewing of video in real time on a local area network or the Internet. The video server also provides built-in video motion detection and powerful event management functions based on triggered or scheduled events. In addition, the product offers a complete set of security features such as HTTPS, IP address filtering and multi-level password protection. The AXIS 241S connects to an analog camera and transmits digital video simultaneously via an Ethernet connection. It is configured with an AXIS ETRAX 100LX processor, 32MB RAM, 8MB Flash memory allowing firmware updates over the network, an AXIS ARTPEC-2 video compression chip with 8MB Memory, Watch Dog functionality and it uses the TCP/IP, HTTP, Ethernet and Fast Ethernet protocols.
