Also for getting online. Best with wireless mouse. Battery life on six cell battery was outstanding (over 5.5 hours). Great for second computer.

Came with the 6 cell battery which gives excellent battery life. Loaded Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and they really work quite well, even with the relatively 'slow' processor. The 160 GB HD is actually huge with respect to what I use this for (a convenient "carry" package). Has 2 SD card slots plus USB ports for portable memory.

It's very lightweight and all the negative reviews I've read about the product did not bother me at all. $319 for this product was a great purchase.

I know that I'll soon have to upgrade the memory, and that the procedure is lengthy just to get another 500meg of memory. This product should allow memory to be increased up to at least 2 gigs.
All-in-all, it's a great product, and I'm looking forward to wide availablility of G3 telephony other than Radio Shack's overpiced contract.
The audio volume is limited, so I usually use a headset for skype.

A full charge lasts quite a while (over 4 hours) with its 6-cell battery. The display is clear and bright. The right and left clicks take some getting used to as they are on the right and left side of the touch pad instead of underneath. I'm learning to try to avoid using the the left click by tapping, or double tapping on the scroll bars of browsers. The small touch pad takes some getting used to, too. I learned a cool feature that wasn't even in the manual! If you pinch two fingers in, the browser window will zoom out and if you do the opposite, the browser window will magnify! One glitch I found was if you don't change the default settings and close the lid, the netbook will go into standby mode, and I wasn't able to take it out of standby without a Hard restart. So, I changed it to to "do nothing" when I close the lid. Much better. The keyboard may take a little bit getting used to, as the keys are definitely smaller. May be tough for bigger hands. It's not the zippiest computer, but it serves many basic needs like surfing the net and other applications. Definitely pleased with this machine.

I couldn't believe the price when I first saw it advertised. i felt that this would be a product not worth anything. The old adage "you get what you pay for"....well, if that adage is true...then we've all been overpaying for way too long. This netbook is perfect for someone like myself that travels over 100,00 miles per year via airlines. I have literally had no problems from the moment it came out of the box until today. Not a one. I've had the computer for about 6 months now... Very very satisfied. Thank You Acer.

Especially in class where the screen does not obstruct the view of the professor. In addition, the small footprint fits on any desk. Well, I have to say that I was a little reluctant to make this type of purchase on a website that I was unfamiliar with. Boy, was I wrong to feel that way.
My Acer arrived incredibly quickly, in perfect condition and was exactly the model I had ordered. After unpacking the netbook and turning it on (without even charging the battery first), it worked. It was much faster than I expected and due to the weight and size, is much easier to transport than my old laptop. Due to the high volume of travel that I do for work, this will be accompanying me on all of my future business travel.

Screen is chrystal clear and bright. Keyboard is better than what I thought it would be for its size.. Fast boot too. The only slightl issue is the fan. It could be quieter.. noit horrible but louder than most. You really can 't go wrong for the money. Light and portable especially for air travel on the smaller planes.
