Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M This was my first Mac since 1986 (an old Mac SE30 - 30 Megabyte hard drive :). The whole process of ordering was flawless but there was a slight shipping delay. Despite the site stating that it would be shipped "the same day", this was not the case. Tracking was easy with FedEx and the iMac arrived in perfect shape. It's an amazing machine with a spectacular display.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M What else can I say, 18 years with PC and I finally converted. Couldn't be happier.
Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Fabulous , fast computer with a spectacular screen. OS is great and iLife is wonderful. I am a long time Mac user with Vista, XP & Ubuntu computers networked in our house. Even with the minor frustrations detailed below, the experience is way better than any other computer I've had.
Bummers: Standard keyboard has a good key feel, but is unnecessarily tiny. I need a numerical keyboard in everyday use. The mouse tries too hard to be clever. I still can't get it to right click. Lovely case design, but I need a height adjustment. The wife finds it too high, causing neck strain. Migration Assistant messed up the email client.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Love the large glossy monitor but the reflections can be a drag. Easy setup and much faster than the four-year old Mac I was using.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Everything I expected from Macintosh. My only complaint was that it doesn't have a Firewire 400 port. Not realizing this, I was stuck without cable to connect my old desktop to the new iMac in order to run Migration Assistant. I couldn't find one locally so I had to mailorder one. I started using the new one while I waiited for the cable to arrive. Doing so may have contributed to Migration Assistant not transfering personal configurations and files like bookmarks, iTunes, iPhotos, Mail setup, etc., everything I wanted it to transfer. Every file it did transfer required the Admin ID from my old Mac whenever I tried to delete one. I still haven't gotten Mail to work correctly. What a mess.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Just purchased a wonderful IMac specifically do do basic movie editing. It's a gorgeous computer but perhaps I was expecting too much given the years and years of friends telling me PCs were so uncreative, so counter intuitive. There are many aspects of IMac that are neither easier nor more intuitive. But the real issue is that it is not set up to easily handle high definition video. I had to buy a special program (Voltaic) to convert hi def files and the Mac experts were not knowledgable about this. (they sent me chasing in several wrong directions before an extensive internet search came up the the Voltaic program. The Sony HDR11 camera has a hard drive which you download when it fills up--so you can delete and refill with more video--essential if you are traveling, for instance. The Mac can handle the video directly from the camera but for unknown reasons cannot handle the previously downloaded files--you need to purchase a separate program to convert the files to something usable by the Mac.) The other con is that converted hi def files either from the camera or via Voltaic are 10 or more times as large as the original. If you have any significant amt of video--which I do because I am creating a documentary--you have immediately filled up the memory and need to figure out how to work with large external drives--not a smooth process.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M The new iMac G5 intel core 2 Duo is everything I hoped it would be: fast, easy to use, huge monitor at 24", and a small footprint at the base.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M This computer is wonderful! The 24" screen is like having a personal home theatre right in front of you. The screen display is clear and sharp. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. At first the smaller keyboard took a little getting used to but I now prefer it to a standard keyboard. To sum it up... this is about the best computer around and you will find it easy to use and an absolute joy to work with.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M The machine is beautiful. Display is awesome. Sadly, it developed a serious hardware issue less than 2 weeks after we opened the box. Had to return it. The Macconection people were great to work with.

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M I was too slow in converting from the PC to the Mac. My PCs are slow and irritating. This Mac is wonderful! I will never go back to the PC.
This is everything you want in a computer. It has none of the usual problems associated with Windows. Make the change! Buy it! You will be so pleased!

Reviews & Ratings for iMac 24"/2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB RAM/640GB HD/SuperDrive/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M I have been using this new model for a couple of days now having just upgraded from an old iBook G4. The screen on this baby is HUGE. Everything you work on looks better on this monitor. The machine is fast and so far has handled everything I've asked it to do with ease. I'm loving the iLife '09, too. One thing I should mention is the included keyboard has the new compact design. It's basically just a Macbook keyboard so I additionally purchased the complete one that has the numerical keypad to use instead. I think a delete key and number pad are essential for a desktop setup. Anyway, as for the computer itself, I don't have any complaints as of now. It's a gem to work on and I love it!
