I have not tested HDMI because I don't have blue ray dvd player yet. I am pleased with the purchase. I have owned three Samsung monitor's 2693hm/245bw syncMaster and this one T240HD. Samsung quality so far are outstanding. TN panel has some limitations but I am not a professional picture editor or graphics designer. I am doing online reading, gaming and movie and TV. Samsung can handle them all nicely. I setup the monitor easily but I wish the stander could be better like 2693HM.

My clients are also pleased when I do presentations. I also, use this as my 3rd TV (and unfortunately, CAD productivity has declined due to the HD and digital programming available by attaching amplified rabbit-ears) the built-in digital tuner is great feature. I also plan to use a blue-ray player and PS3 with this display, due to the numerous inputs. Lastly, I never saw a monitor that looked good both off and on.

Many similar monitors have cheap speakers, which ruins the experience. I use this as both a monitor and an HDTV, because it is fantastic at both, and I don't want to put a TV in my office. I do computer consulting and I spend a lot of time looking at monitors. This one makes it a pleasure!

Reviews & Ratings for 24" T240HD Widescreen LCD Monitor with Speakers, Black/Rose I was originally going for a 22" monitor since it's cheaper, but hey -- your monitor usually outlasts your computer, so I took a little hit up front for a long-term investment. This monitor in particular is the most aesthetically pleasing 24" monitor out there right now among the most reliable brands (HP, Samsung, Dell, IMO). While this monitor isn't as bright as the others (300 cd/m^2 vs 400), it didn't matter for me since I'm using it at home in lighting that is not as bright as office lighting. It does have better pixel pitch than its peers (in the same price range.. I think the $600 Dell Ultrasharp has better pixel pitch and colors, but that's a LOT more expensive), which eases any eye stress you may get from staring at a screen all day.
