DualHead2Go Digital Edition is an external multi-display upgrade for notebooks and desktop computers. This small black box is the perfect tool for any business or professional user looking to increase their productivity with a dual monitor setup. DualHead2Go Digital Edition supports a wide range of resolutions-up to 3840x1200 (dual 1920x1200) across two analog or digital displays.
Run two independent displays from your laptop or desktop computer even if that system only supports a single display output. Open a different application on each display or stretch one application across two displays; includes Matrox PowerDesk software for Windows to manage window positioning. Increase your productivity; organize your workspace more efficiently, multi-task more comfortably and make fewer errors. It supports analog or digital displays, standard or widescreen. This product uses your system's existing graphics card to provide a stable platform for office, 3D design and multimedia applications. It's a small, portable device that is quick and easy to install; won't void your system warranty as there's no need to open the computer case or insert components.

Disappointing SW and Help

Pros: easy to install Cons: Performance, software
Reviews & Ratings for DualHead2Go Digital Edition The software that comes with this is rather disappointing, as well as the help/support and manual. One annoying thing is that when you put something like Real Player or Windows Media player into "Full Screen Mode", it will always fill up both monitors. i.e., with the DualHead2Go, there is no way of having a media player in "Full Screen Mode" on just one of your monitors. Also, some programs even screw up when you simply maximize them. For instance, if you maximize QuickTime Movie player, it will not properly maximize just on its monitor, but instead will "center itself" so that half of it is in on one monitor, and half on the other. Meanwhile, Real Player will properly maximize in just one window. Overall, it's a bit quirky and usually even if the SW has a way to do what you want, it takes a while to figure out how to configure it to work properly.

Pros: easy small no power supply needed Cons: will not run projectors which all digital
Reviews & Ratings for DualHead2Go Digital Edition Be aware that the "digital" version is not really DVI-D, but seems to be rather a DVI connector with VGA coming out of it. Hooked up to two separate types of digital projectors via the projectors DVI ports porduced only a white fuzzy screen. When a DVI-VGA adaptor was used and the output of the matrox connected to the VGA ports on the projectors, all was fine.

Reviews & Ratings for DualHead2Go Digital Edition Pretty simple to connect, but not one real piece of information with it. Put the cd in and ran it, and somehow it is still showing that I only have one monitor...even though both are hooked up and plugged in. No customer service contact number on the box. Frustrating!
