This cord is different from the original cord in that the "plug" into the actual computer has two pieces, I'm assuming so that the cord can be sold for any brand computer by just changing the adapter on the end. Sonds like a good idea for the company, not so great for the consumer. The cord is constanly pulling out of the adapter that is plugged in to the laptop, making it cumbersome and difficult to manage. My sister and brother in law also have the same laptop, purchased this identical cord 6 months ago, and 1 day after we received our replacement cord, the one they bought stopped working. So, I guess I have about 6 months before the cord will need to be replaced. I'm not excited about spending $120/yr just to power my laptop.
