I prefer hard shell cases to soft sided to better protect against damage from hard impacts. This case has good materials and has a nice appearrence. Interior has good thick cushioning around the laptop compartment. Depending on model and size/thickness of laptop, you may have difficulty finding space to carry extras such as power adaptor and mouse without having them pressing on the computer when closing case. Combination lock is easy to reset, though the numbers may be a little hard to read.

Overall, this is one of the better hard cases I have used over the years and can recommend it to anyone seeking better proctection in an alternative to less expensive soft sided cases
