Reviews & Ratings for EarthWatts 500 Watt ATX12V v2.2 Power Supply i've had this PSU in my computer for at least a year now. it's pretty quiet and performs like a workhorse. it has dual 12V rails, one handles the CPU the other takes care of your mobo and periferals. each 12V rail can handle up to 17A for a combined total of 34A. your PSU is not the componant to go cheap on, its like a tiny power plant that has to supply three differant voltages 3.3V rail, 5V rail, and 12V rail/s to your entire system. your mobo, CPU, memory, graphics solution, CD/DVD-Roms, etc., etc. i selected this PSU based on it's features, warranty, decent price, & good expert reviews. my system can use up to approx. 385-390 watts under full load, i got the 500watt psu to leave some room for upgrades. i have never had any problems with this PSU. it's stable, runs extremely cool. every other PSU i have dealt with blows at least somewhat warm air out of its rear fan, but not this one, the air is always cool, it has active PFC, its 80 Plus certified, that means i'm saving money on my electric bill.
