I've generally always had good luck with D-link products, this unit is real easy to use, nothing to setting it up and its really fast. I use it with a home server to feed video streams to various pieces of AV equipment via my wired network. The reason for the "3" rating is due to power supply for the unit. It emits very strong interference on any AM radio within a 100 feet (even battery powered). The problem was isolated to the power supply by replacing it with a generic one from Radio Shack. With the Radio Shack power supply, no noise at all. D-link support was NO help, and wanted me to run diagnostics on my network etc. and could not understand that I had noise even with the network completely disconnected and all computers off. They could not understand that the power supply could be the problem since it was working.

I have always had good luck with D-link products and this switch was no exception. Performs great and to my luck was on sale at PC Connection.
