We have only had it two weeks and the shoulder pad it ripping at the stitching. It is not fixable as the silky material is unraveling due to cheap material and a short trim job on the edge. I rarely use the shoulder strap, but apparently it is for looks and not for use at all.

After about a week of using this bag, the shoulder strap is already starting to wear. I am going to pursue a replacement as is is not at all made for regular use.

This case is too large for MacBook's small footprint. The benefits of MacBook's size for mobility are lost if transported in this case.

This is a great case. It is very well constructed. It comes with a shoulder strap. There is a length of the bag pocket on both sides .For a soft bag targus has some nice security features .The velcro on these is very sticky it takes some effort to pull them apart so i don't see someone the folding over the front flap to access the contents. The zippers on the main compartment for the computer has a metal circle to put on a lock, the interior has compartments for documents, pens business cards cell or similar device. It also has a piece of semi hard foam sewn into the main bag to protect the computer from bumps etc. This is a very solid piece that is well constructed and will last for years of normal use.
