GVN 53 turns your vehicle's audio/video system into a powerful street navigator. Look up and route directly to specific addresses or points of interest such as restaurants, hotels, gas stations, retail shops or ATMs while viewing your exact location on detailed street maps. It even announces the name of exits and streets through your car's speakers so you never have to take your eyes off the road. Map graphics are shown on your system's integrated video display. GVN 53 comes preloaded with detailed City Navigator NT map data, and its card slot makes it easy to plug in additional map detail from optional MapSource mapping products.
GVN 53 installs out-of-sight and is easy to use. Hide the GVN 53 under a car seat using the included mounting hardware, and operate it easily with the included wireless remote control. Use the remote to navigate the menu on your video display and make selections to find it and go.
The unit simultaneously outputs both NTSC composite video and RGB with the addition of a custom harness, so you can choose your video output. Its advanced video settings allow screen position to be adjusted for easy viewing from any angle.

Reviews & Ratings for GVN 53 Blackbox GPS Navigation System Garmin has a very simple and intuitive user interface. The graphics were a little dated and the speed of the screen transitions is slightly slow. GPS sometimes too a few minutes to find my location but this is related for going with a clean install and hiding the antenna. So mount your antenna for maximum coverage.
This was installed with the Kenwood double din touch screen.
This works well enough for everday use and provides the additnal bonus of not being seen by the criminals eyes.
