Reviews & Ratings for 1TB DriveStation TurboUSB External Hard Drive I bought this drive for my mother so that her lampshade iMac could have an extended life. At first it worked like you would expect, but it has failed only a couple of months later.
It's a shame because it was a great price, but what difference does price make when you loose all your data.
I'm about to try and go thru customer service to get it replaced, but if I have an opportunity to swap this purchase for a different manufacturer's version - I will do it.

Only thing that slowed me down is figuring out how for format the new drive to NTSF...but, with some patience I managed it...

Reviews & Ratings for 1TB DriveStation TurboUSB External Hard Drive We purchased the Buffalo's 1TB DriveStation HD-CEU2 as a file backup server for our small office network. The setup process was easy to do and took about 10 minutes per computer. You have to run the software on each computer that you want to backup files on. You can select only the files you want to backup or you can do an entire computer backup. It does slow down computer performance slightly during the initial backup. The good thing is when ever you change the file it automatically backs up that file. You can also use it as an additional drive, and drag and drop files directly from your computer.

Reviews & Ratings for 1TB DriveStation TurboUSB External Hard Drive If you want the best deal per GB of data storage, the Buffalo DriveStation with Turbo USB is the way to go. I purchased one as an emergency backup for a file server on a company network. The drive was extremely fast and very reliable for nearly a month of heavy I/O requests from multiple users. Now that the file server is fixed, the 1TB Buffalo has a permanent home in the server room. Its being used as a storage container for company archives in addition to the usual tape media.
