The sound is clear at high volumes (so long as you have a high quality sound card) and the bass has enough punch to get a knock on the wall from my neighbor. The volume/bass control is well designed and feels solidly built and with a built in headphone jack makes it even more convenient. The stereo imaging is excellent for a 2.1 system. The THX badge it wears may have something to do with that. If you have the money to spare and want great sound, this should be the end of your shopping road.

What's also cool is the wire remote, which eliminates having to reach behind the speaker or sub-woofer looking for the power button. Speaking of sub-woofer...this thing has a tight booming bottom-end, which is easily adjustable on the remote. Not a bad product for the price and size.

Reviews & Ratings for Z-2300 2.1 Speaker System I replaced an older Logitech 2.1 system with this one. The sub is large with a side firing port. The satellites have a nice substantial feel to them. What I like best about this system is the fact that Logitech decided to use standard RCA's for the satellites and a 9 pin serial connection for the remote. So if you have to extend the cables you can. My old system used proprietary wires so I was somewhat limited in where I could place everything. In addition, the remote has a bass control knob. For the price, these can't be beat.

I looked around, the Logitech's got great reviews and from what I saw looked to be really quality. Now that i've had them for about a month, my opinion of them has only gone up. Quality construction, easy setup and use (the remote is great), and above all, GREAT SOUND. The THX certs make these speakers great for all music types and even can be used for movies (though I just use these for music on my Mac).
Bottom line, these speakers really are the best 2.1 computer speakers out there.

The clarity of the speakers is probably a 4 or 4.5 out of 5....I guess it could be a liiittle better, but really nothing to complain about. The bass it where it's really at. The amount of bass this thing packs is amazing. It sounds like 2 10" subs. The remote wire is pretty long so you can put that wherever you want. If bass isn't everything to you, these speakers are still clear, loud, and awesome for anything: rock, rap, pop, classical, any type of music or movies, even at a lower level. I don't really game, but I image they have to be great for that too. Highly recommended.

I have them in my office and play them soft when working from home, working on studies, and rock the house when cleaning and enjoying the evening with a drink... They sound great with everything from rock, pop, country, rap, instrumental... Bass is tremendous when turned all the way up, no distortion...
I have the satellites on my desk and the bass box on another cabinet top beside my desk. The bass box is pretty large...
I highly recommend this speaker system; they are over achievers!!!
P.S. Keep everything away from the bass box because it will walk it right off the table to the floor!!! ;>)
