Very good monitor for Digital Artwork

Reviews & Ratings for 22" 2253BW Widescreen LCD Monitor, Black (HDCP) I replaced my CRT monitor with this flat screen display and it's beautiful! The colors are bright, bold and it has good contrast. it's very easy to use and I liked the preset modes that come with this display.
Some things to know: The stand does not raise up & down, it only tilts backwards. You may have to put something under it to raise it to eye level. And the software works with PC computers, but I use a Mac and it was not a problem.
Otherwise, this is a useful widescreen monitor for digital design and I highly recommend it. Text displays sharp and clear with both the analog and DVI cables.

Cartoonish, muddy color

Reviews & Ratings for 22" 2253BW Widescreen LCD Monitor, Black (HDCP) I have been buying only Samsung monitors for about a decade, both CRT & LCD. I currently have 2 Samsung SyncMaster 204B's attached to my Mac Pro at home and I love them. I bought this 2253BW for work. I really don't like it. Compared to the 204's the color's are too bright and cartoonish despite all efforts to adjust otherwise. Most importantly, the text is much more muddy on the 2253BW. I would say this was a one-off sort of thing, but my father has a similar model from Samsung with the same look to it. Finally, unlike the 204B's this monitor cannot be adjusted up and down. This line of monitors appears to be the consumer, low-end line for Samsung. I'll stay far away in the future.

I had a little difficulty putting it in the stand, but other than that I am pleased with it. I recommend this to anyone wanting a good LCD Monitor with a larger screen. It's great with spreadsheet programs.

Does NOT come with a DVI Cable though, so you might want to pick one up.
