Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad I've been working with one sort of computer or another for over 25 years. I have always had issues with the keyboards. They were never comfortable to use. I always had to 'hit' the keys hard in order for it to work well. Now just a light touch and instant response. Faster, easier and more accurate. No getting your fingers stuck between keys. Thanks Apple for a great product, but why an I so surprised? You always make terrific products.

Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad Junk keyboard. within six months the actual plastic on several keys (a, s, and l) has worn off so much that the letter is gone. about two months ago the left hand control key started jumping off the keyboard (internal plastic tabs broken) and this week the left hand shift key stopped working completely. it's too bad really because it looks nice.

Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad I like the way it feels and its low profile. I wish the USB ports had a little more space to take my old, fat USB thumb drives without setting things askew, but that's a small issue. I also wish Apple had not made me pay extra for a keyboard with a numeric key pad, but that's just how Apple is. Overall, very nice.

Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad I was tired of the "regular" keyboard keys being hard to push, if you hit them at any kind of an angle. I LOVE the keys on the Apple keyboard because they are flatter and you don't have to push them as far for the same result. The keys are quieter too. One thing I was expecting though that I am disappointed by, is that although there are two USB ports, there is a limited number of things that can be plugged into them. I have my mouse plugged into one side. I tried to plug in my iPod and said the power source was too weak, even when I took off the mouse. Come on Apple, we can do better!

Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad Hands down my favorite keyboard to type on. Form and function. I was on the verge of buying a new mac pro, but it turns out all I really wanted was one of the new keyboards.

Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad It is hard to get excited about a keyboard. It doesn't have flashy features or anything groundbreaking, but it is a solid and relatively inexpensive keyboard for the mac.
It is far improved from the last 'cereal bowl' model. Unlike its predecessor, its design prevents stuff from getting trapped between the keys. Cleaning is a snap. It has 2 usb ports on either side, perfect for a mouse, but not useful for much else without picking the keyboard up.
I have used mine on pcs in the past and that works fine, even in bios screen without loading drivers. I have also not had any break in 2 years of use, in any of our workgroups.

Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad I like the feel of the flat keys. You might think the "qwerty" keys would be too close together to allow for the numbers, but they are comfortable. Having the numeric is great for toggling views in 3D CAD work.

Pros: excellent feel Cons: lack of height adjustments, price
Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad I got this keyboard to replace my Apple wireless whenever I get to use a desk. the obvious advantage of this keyboard is the number pad on the side. The keys feels right, not too stiff or soft, the texture is good, but in my experience it does get dirty sooner than other keyboards.
I also don't find placing the "fc" (function) key to the right helpful. It use to be a left hand operation, now it sometimes require 2 hands.
A great keyboard all around, only thing is the height adjustments. Also for user that doesn't use volume adjustments, expose, dashboard function through the keyboard, there are keyboards out there that doesn't cost nearly as much.

Pros: very good ergonomically, great tactile feedback, looks cool Cons: none
Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad I used to use "natural" keyboards (e.g. angled for better ergonomics) but on a whim I tried the Apple keyboard and am addicted. The ultra thin design all but eliminates the hands being twisted upward reducing stress on the wrists. The keyboard provides great tactile feedback, sized well for folks even with large hands, and is just plain looks cool.

Pros: cost effective, allows me to type quickly Cons: came packaged in a grossly oversized box.
Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad I bought this to replace the stock keyboard on my iMac. The original keyboard had ridiculously long key strokes and the keys would actually bind sideways if you hit them off-center. The new keyboard appears that it would suffer from a lack of tactile feedback but is instead a delight to type on. Very quiet, with just enough feedback to allow me to type the fastest I have every typed on any keyboard. I don't use the 10-key area, so I would prefer just a laptop-style width, but that's OK. I like that the mouse cord can be attached to either side of the keyboard. It's also a great value at under $50.

Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad I adapted to this keyboard right away. we actually bought three of them, and there was a naysayer in the group of users, who quit badmouthing it right after the plastic came off. I find it easier to use than the old style keyboard, and my typing has gotten faster since implementing this keyboard. Takes up less space, too!

Worst Keyboard Ever

Pros: stylish Cons: forces slow typing to be accurate, keys are wearing their "letters" in about 6 months
Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad Having liked Apple keyboards in the past, I bought this one when my old one failed after heavy use. It is a nice looking keyboard, and compact. Possibly even too compact for someone with large hands.
I am a fast touch typist. For me, this keyboard is practically unusable. It "skips" keystrokes. The space key is especially a problem. This means you have to type slowly to be accurate. A review of the Apple user comments shows many similar views.
Also, this keyboard is not holding up in heavy use. The "A" key has lost its "letter" in only six months of use. Fortunately, I never look at the keys so it is not a problem for me.

Reviews & Ratings for Apple Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad Takes a little getting used to after so many years on a larger keyed board. More like laptop keyboard but probably will be easier to keep clean. Not so many spaces by keys to drop breakfast and lunch morsels. Will be great once I get the feel.
