Reviews & Ratings for Advantage DLX 2.4" Thermal Transfer 203dpi USB/Parallel Label Printer w/ US Power Cord Prints fast, but was a pain to set up. Will not connect to the admin program through the parallel port, but nothing tells you that before you purchase it. We got it all set up, and couldn't program it. Called tech support. We were told that the driver that ships with it on the CD won't connect to the admin program anyway, and you have to download a driver from the web site. That was strike 1. We did but still wouldn't connect over the parallel cable. That was strike 2. Installed over the usb cable, and it connected and set up properly, but we needed phone support to do it. I manage a small 8 computer network, and rarely have to call tech support for anything. My feeling is that the documentation needs to be improved, and more information given up front so we can make more informed purchasing decisions. I would recommend to a friend, but with reservations. The things the tech support guy told me to try were not in the manual, but they should be.
