I have never written a review of a product before but I am so impressed with this scanner, that I think I owe Epson a big thank you by writing this review. The set up was very easy, the machine is simple to use, and best of all, the slides I have been scanning are coming out great. There are many resolution levels to choose from but, of course, it will take time to scan at the highest levels. I am scanning my slides at 600dpi which gives me nice quality for web viewing but also for 8x10 printing. I don't think you can go wrong with this scanner especially at this price. As an added bonus, PC Connection was nice to work with. BTW, I am using a MacBook Pro to connect to the scanner.

The scanner arrived promptly, was easy to set up and performed well in scanning to hard drive, email and printer. Scanning to pdf performed well also during testing. The scanner has a slim, streamlined appearance and looks and performs much better than the 9 yr. old scanner it replaced. I wish, however, it could scan film transparencies about 3 x 4", and not be limited just to film strips and slides.

Easy installation, the software it's easy and the steps to follow easy too, the front buttons help a lot to make a fast scan. The only function that i didn't use yet are the auto re-touch, but when I scan my negatives it looks like an actual picture, of course some brightness and contranst have to add in some cases, more light etc. but I really satisfied with the product at all.
