The C6150n color laser printer combines fast, high-quality color output with High Definition (HD) Color Printing technology. This unique process for produces breathtaking output, even on ordinary office copy paper. Building on the OKI Printing Solutions heritage of color printing innovation, HD Color Printing technology combines multilevel LED printheads and microfine toner to render deep, saturated colors, fine detail, and precise toner placement. The C6150n delivers crisp 1200 x 600 dpi color output, with the first page printing in as little as 9 seconds. Black white pages print at up to 32 ppm, the first in as little as 8 seconds. The C6150n supports both PCL and PostScript emulations. The printer offers a 400-sheet paper capacity: a 300-sheet paper tray plus built-in 100 sheet multi-purpose tray for labels, envelopes, transparencies, and cover stock up to 80 lb.(216 gsm). Use it to print everything from 3" x 5" cards, 4" x 6" and 5" x 7" photo paper, to banner-size sheets up to 8.5" wide by four feet in length. Reviews & Ratings for C6150n Color Laser Printer Great Printer!!! I bought this to replace an OKI C5150n. It had been a great printer but was worn out. I had to buy a fuser and it was cheaper to buy this printer than to but the fuser and the 4 cartridges that came with the new printer. It's better than the 5150.

I'm sold on this printer

Pros: drop in solution for older okidata printers, excellent cost per page, hardware print engine with parallel port., unbeatable graphic clarity. Cons: inadequate documentation for network web interface
Reviews & Ratings for C6150n Color Laser Printer I could tell you about all the solid features this printer has, such as crisp graphics, straight paper path, great cost per page or reliable print engine, but I'm not going to bother with that since I can sell you this printer alone on our experience with it.
We recently had a venerable IBM Infoprint Color 8 (an OkiPage 8C) bite the big one due to user error (Inkjet Photo paper and Fusers don't mix!) Instead of buying a new fuser, we decided to put a new printer in since the old one was in service for over 9 years and was showing it's age. My boss wanted to go to another Vendor since the 8C had "issues" (primarily user errors that resulted in either complaints or costly replacements.) luckily this printer was on sale, so we decided to go with this one.
During testing, we noticed that the printer worked with the C3600n printer drivers from a C3600n we were also testing. For the heck of it, I decided to try the old Okipage 8C drivers to see if they would work.
They did. And exactly like the old printer did.
So for what it's worth, all I had to do to install this printer was pull out the older Infoprint, Install the C6150n in the same spot using the same parallel jetdirect box the old printer was setup on, and leave the building with the 20+ users printing to the printer like nothing happened. It picked up all the spooled print jobs and no driver replacements were performed on each PC, saving us hours of downtime and work for us, espceially during a busy time.
We changed the driver on the print server two hours later once the queue was clear and the workload caught up (which didn't take long at 30+ pages per minute) to update the drivers as we work on their PC's during the course of the year, but we could have left that alone for what it's worth and since we use HTTP printing, the drivers didn't just propagate to the users from the server, so the entire office is still using the 9 year old drivers to print to a brand new device.
Try that with other print vendors without running into some weird problem or incompatibility that freezes the printer, or the printer ignores the print job altogether. Even if both printers are from the same vendor.
The only complaint I have is that I wish the documentation for the Network Adapter was more through. It doesn't explain what the default admin password is for the web interface. (Username is root and Password is the last 6 case sensitive MAC address Digits for anyone looking for this info) There is other ways to set up the adapter however, and this is a minor point, but still an issue nonetheless.
