I didn't expect much due to prior experiences with bluetooth devices but these headphones are impressive for the low price. I get excellent range when just listening to music, obviously less while using the microphone. I have noticed at max range your left ear needs to be facing your transmitter in this case my macbook. I let them hang on my neck and they play loud enough to hear. The only thing I wasn't so impressed with but it was expected was getting it connected. The first time I used them they linked right up and worked right away the second day I couldn't just turn them on and set them as my output it wouldn't receive sound I'm not sure if it was the headphones or my software that was the problem but after about 5 minutes of shuting them down pulling them off my bluetooth device list and reapplying they worked fine. Sound quality is low but only because it is blue tooth but I wasn't looking for amazing performance I just wanted to listen to my movies and music without waking my room mate or upsetting my coworkers.
