I recently purchased two Chill Hubs and one Chill Mat from Targus. I also own two of the old design. The new model boasts "28% more coolong power", however the fan motors are way too noisy. The fan in the old model is virtually silent, and the cooling seemed fine to me, so I would advise everyone to try to find the old model (rectangle, vs. the new one which has kind of an "X" shape.) I'm very disappointed in this product and would not recommend it.
